In a very short time it became one of the main centers for the treatment of cardiovascular disease in Latin America, making an important contribution both to the treatment of cardiopathies and to education. The Diagnosis center performs more than 1.2 million examinations annually and HCor was the first in Brazil to offer 3 Tesla MRI for clinical use. It was also the first in Latin America and the fourth worldwide to perform angiotomography of coronary arteries.

64-Slice CT scanning enables assessment of the central nervous system, organs such as the heart, liver, pancreas or kidneys and the urinary tract and real-time, three-dimensional echocardiogram gives a precise vision of the heart.

This includes patient safety, patient rights, medication management, bedside policies and procedures, surgical infection, anesthesia procedures, credentials of medical staff and nurses, leadership and governance of the organisation

HCor occupies three interconnected buildings of 31,000 with 216 beds, of which 40 are intensive care (for adults or children), 13 for the Coronary Department and 8 for emergencies.

The nursing stations are strategically located to enable oversight of all rooms, which are connected by microphone and speaker to the nursing stations and all have personally controlled airconditioning, refrigerator, telephone an internet connection.
